I wasn’t in the @anantarajaipur
I was studying it.

Screenshots. Room tours. Corners most people skip.

At Anantara, Jaipur, the shield above the bed, the gold moulding, the carpet, it’s all there in plain sight.

You don’t have to be in the room to read it. You just have to look like a designer.

This is how we build a venue-based suite without ever starting from Pinterest.

We drew the palace first.

Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. In our blues and sandstone lines, detailed enough that you know it’s Umaid, light enough that it feels like a memory.

Then came the typography. And we stopped.

Because a palace like this doesn’t need more. It needs space.

We tried it two ways for Hardik & Ahana, November 2027.

One : where the names sit quietly in navy, letting the dome do the talking.
One : where the names are handwritten in gold, a little more intimate, like a note written over a postcard.

No extra motifs. No borders. No fillers.

Just the venue, their names, and enough white space to breathe.

Modern is not empty. Modern is knowing when to stop.

Venue Illustrations, Less is More.

Some palaces need to be understood.

This is Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur c home for us.

We get asked to illustrate it often. But we never copy the photograph. We trace the feeling of standing in front of it, the dome that feels too big to be real, the blue shadows on sandstone at 4pm, the little balconies you miss if you don’t look closely.

Top is the reference. Bottom is how we remember it.

Line by line, not filter by filter.

When your wedding is at Umaid Bhawan, your invite shouldn’t have a clipart of it. It should have *your* version of it.

That’s what we do at Akansha Design Studio. Venue illustrations that feel like you were there.

A wedding is not just one big moment. It’s a hundred small corners.

We design signages not to direct people, but to make them pause and smile.

A corner where you pick a badge instead of explaining which side you’re on. A station where you design sunglasses and steal the spotlight for a minute. A basket full of snacks because we know dancing needs fuel.

And then, the corners that hold tradition, where a safa is not just tied, it’s worn with pride. And a basket to place it back, with care.

Fun, tradition, and thoughtfulness, all in the same celebration.

That’s how we see signage at Akansha Design Studio.

I went in thinking “what if no one shows up?”
I came out with the sweetest DMs, full hearts, and a laptop full of screenshots like these.

Thank you everyone who showed up, stayed till the group photo, asked questions, and made it feel so warm.

You said it was informative, thoughtful, eloquent and that genuinely made my day. I put my whole heart (and 99 Canva slides) into that presentation.

This was our first, and our last for this year. I’m going back to what I love most making beautiful invites at Akansha Design Studio.

Maybe we’ll do it again next year. Bigger. Better. More beautiful. Just like me. ✨
